Swan song for Schenley HS athletics?
The Schenley High School girls basketball makes a ignomoninious exit from the PIAA playoffs losing to Mt. Lebanon 74-42 at Chartiers Valley High School on Friday March 7, 2008 after progressing further into the state playoffs than any other Pittsburgh city league girls team ever has. The looming question is what will become the storied school's athletics programs? Since the school will be closed, students moved to Reizenstein Middle School with only 10th-12th grades and no incoming freshmen.
